MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Sixth-placed Adelaide managed their maiden draw of the season with Saturday’s 1-1 with Wellington. Carl Veart’s side are scrapping for a finals spot and need three points to build a gap on seventh-placed Western Utd who have two games in hand. The Reds have resumed with a 1-0 win over Brisbane and the Wellington draw which is solid.

Fifth-placed Perth are three points ahead of United with a game in hand, but their form has been unconvincing. Glory beat bottom club Central Coast 1-0 upon the resumption before a 2-1 loss to Wellington. The evidence of both games is it’s clear Perth miss Castro’s creativity.

On the basis of the latter point and Adelaide’s solid form, I’ll back the Reds to win.
